She's back

She made it! 2 weeks away from home. The first week was fun and games and "I want to move here right now!" The second week was lots of tears and "I want to come home right now!"
She said she had a lot of fun. She went to museums, had a pedicure, and took a trip to Boston. There was swimming and bike riding and birthday celebrations too. Her cousins adored her

And her brother and sister missed her

Bryson giving Sophie a ring he picked out for her

All 3 slept together her first night back and it was nothing but hugs, smiles, and laughter.

She's been back over 24 hours and things are back to normal. Yelling, fighting, name calling. You know, the usual sibling stuff. It's great to have her back

New York

The big has finally come! Sophie and Nana are headed to New York for 2 weeks! Sophie has been so excited for this trip. She has been instructed to send 2 pictures per day and call every night. We can't wait to hear about all her adventures! Have a blast sweetheart!

Swimming, friends, sleeping in

We are over a week into summer and already wish it would never come to an end. This one is up with the sun, eats breakfast, and gets ready for the day. This is usually well before the girls roll out of bed. It's about 8:30 as I write this and he is cleaning up his toys and clothes and telling the girls to get up and get ready. He wants to fill his day with fun from sun up to sun down.

We have spent time building farms and ranches and tending to the fields..with army bombers flying overhead (thanks Bryson)

We can't get enough swimming. We have gone to friends and families houses and already spent countless hours in the water. The kids blue eyes have become bluer against their golden brown skin and extra blonde hair (with a few streaks of green from the chlorine)

And meeting up with friends. We have had play dates with more friends than we saw all year. Why can't summer last all year (and bills magically get paid) this is why we worked so hard during the year. To embrace summer!
