WooHoo!!  It's summer!!!  The kids have worked so hard all year and it's finally here…the
LAST DAY!!

I'm beyond excited as well. I have had enough of the 2 hour long drop offs and hour long pickups. It's hard to keep 4 schools straight. Who has what, where, and when. Bryson has lost a few outfits along the way and it's funny how both his schools blamed it on the other school.
I'm sorry to say that the kids lunches were so pretty and well put together at the beginning of the year. All the major food groups were packed neatly into their reusable containers. The last few weeks we have been clearing out the pantry. What ever we can find to accumulate into a lunch is what they get packed into plastic sandwich bags. I would get back most of the food and just recycle it to the next day. Now, the kids can help themselves to what ever they want. No more snacks for school only. What's left in the pantry is free range!
We can sleep in and play all day. This is huge for me. I can get home from work and go to bed. No more 30 min cat nap before getting up and getting the kids to school.
Ahhh…I love summer!

Birthdays

There he is. My big 5 year old. I can't believe how quickly time has flown by and my baby is now a big boy. I know he's been a big boy got a few years but there is something about turning 5. Maybe because it's the official age for school. Kindergarten in the fall. He can't wait, I could wait a few years.
Enough with all the sappy stuff. He is so excited to be 5 and is growing into a smart, kind, caring, and funny little guy. We had a celebration last Saturday for him and he had so much fun! He was asleep on the couch by 7!

He has been obsessed with army stuff recently and had asked for an official army suit, just like the big boys. He got one, complete with his name and ranking. He is also stocked up with army men, vehicles, and fighter jets to last a boy years if playtime.

My birthday boys!
