The kids and I did our first spartan this morning and it was a blast!! My run was the hardest run I have done. The terrain was challenging and we were constantly running up the mountain and then down again. We had walls to climb over, barbed wire to climb under and more than enough mud. The water was so cold it literally took your breath away. Don't forget, I signed up for this. I did it under my own free will and I loved every minute of it...wait, not the part where we had to go under a wall which was submerged under water. Not my favorite part. The kids had the opportunity to run their own races too. Sophie ran a 1 mile run and Kaiden and Bryson ran a half mile. They had fun and are do proud of their medals. In addition to the medals, we brought home plenty of mud too.
