What happened to your manners

Our church puts on an amazing Vacation Bible School every summer

It's 3 hours a day for 2 weeks!

The kids have so much fun singing songs, making crafts and meeting new friends.

They have been going for years.

While our church may be big, we do not have over 900 kids, so quite a few families who do not attend our church do attend VBS, which is fine...it's open to the public
In the past, my mother-in-law has driven the kids to and from VBS because I was working during the
day so I never saw all the people who attended VBS. With so many people attending each day, traffic can definitely get a little out of hand.

So, the other day, I was driving the kids to VBS. I was in the middle lane but needed to get over to the
left lane so I could turn into church. I put my blinker on and tried desperately to get into the left lane. Unfortunately, the other drivers would not let me over so I had to get aggressive and force my way in (now keep in mind, I tried to get over for about a mile) As I forced my way in, the driver behind me started honking her horn, waving her arms and giving me THE finger.  You know which one I mean.

As soon as I get over into her lane, I need to get into the left hand turn lane which leads into our church
and guess who is right behind me? Yeap, THAT lady. The one flailing her arms, throwing up the
finger and honking her horn. Nice, right? Heading to church with small children in the car.

It was amazing to see the type of people showing up to VBS every day. These women are insane! I did
see a few guys but for the most part, it was the stay at home, minivan/SUV moms with too much time on their hands and not enough to do. It looked like a runway for Lululemon (the high end yoga clothing store)

All the moms were in their Lululemon, complete with makeup, hair done and perfume. I mean, really? If your going to go work out, that makeup is going to run down your face and that perfume is going to smell gross.  A real workout involves a lot of sweat and hard work so makeup and perfume are not necessary. These women should come check out my bootcamp and we will show them what a "real" workout involves.

So needless to say, most of these women were using VBS as a babysitting service and social hour.

Then I saw this woman walk her daughter into my sons class

Can you say GROSS!!! She needs a bowl of pasta and some chocolate cake.

I was completely disgusted by this lady. I'm sure she's no older than late 30's but she looked like she

was in her 60's! What is she doing to herself? I can't imagine anyone who thinks she looks good. Get

some meat on those bones! That skinny is definitely not in style.

While I love my church and the amazing VBS they put on, I do not love these "free babysitting"

seeking mothers that attended. You could easily identify the members of our church. So much more

polite and grateful for the work put into the 2 weeks of VBS.

My kids will return next year but at least I know what to expect.
