Speak easy

Its a bitter sweet time of year for our family. The school year is coming to an end and that means the kids are another year older. Since Bryson was 7 months old, he has attended Desert Voices for speech therapy and preschool. It's been an amazing 3 1/2 years. We have met the most amazing, strong, kind and patient families and teachers. We never imagined how much a school would impact our family and lives. Bryson has grown and matured at an amazing rate and is now ready to mainstream in the fall. Every year he is tested on his speech and language skills. We just received the results from this year and he is at 95-98% compared to "normal" 4 year olds. Don't forget that he just turned 4 a few days ago! We are so proud of him and everything he has accomplished but are sad to see our friends and "family" go. We are forever a part of the Desert Voices family.
With that being said, and sorry for any tears that were shed, believe me, I have shed plenty, it's amazing to see Bryson next to another 3-4 year old "normal" child. We take for granted how well he speaks and the language he can properly use. Today he came with me to work out and there was another little boy there who was 3. I asked the little boy what his name was and for the life of me, I could not understand him. I felt terrible and ended up calling him "Buddy". It just goes to show us how far Bryson has come and how amazing he is
