Sophie can't wait to start her new school next year and be in middle school and have a locker!
Kaiden - 1st day of 1st grade (August 2012)
Kaiden loved school and became closer to some friends, especially Piper - her BFF.
Kaiden - last day of 1st grade (May 2013)

She hopes they are in the same class again next year!

Toasty
Our a/c went out on Saturday. Unfortunately for us, the part needs to be ordered. Lucky for us, it's only in the 90's this weekend.
This is the 4th time we have had to call on our unit since October.
On a bright note, it's covered under warranty!

Birthday Boy
Little Man is 4!
Seriously, where did the time go?
He loves pretzels, school, baseball, anything that has wheels and
FIRETRUCKS!!!
Actually, put "fire" in front of anything and he loves it
(fire station, firemen, fire trucks, fire alarm..you get the picture)
Thanks to his super awesome grandparents for personally knowing the captain of one of the fire
stations, he was able to visit the station for his birthday
He had the whole fire station, all 3 fire trucks and all the fire fighters to himself
He got a full tour of the fire house including the kitchen and bedroom
Then it was time to go outside to check out the fire trucks, hoses and water tanks
Even the old fashioned bell which really rings!
Then it was time for the best part...a ride in the fire truck with the captain!
He was slightly excited!
Bryson with the fire fighters!
He was excited that his outfit was exactly like the real firefighters!
We couldn't pass up a picture with Bryson's favorite fire truck...the ladder truck
He's going to drive this truck when he's taller
Thanks Fountain Hills Fire Department for a memorable 4th birthday
Happy Birthday little man...and Daddy too!
(Snowball didn't make the picture because she was at a friends house)

Speak easy
Its a bitter sweet time of year for our family. The school year is coming to an end and that means the kids are another year older. Since Bryson was 7 months old, he has attended Desert Voices for speech therapy and preschool. It's been an amazing 3 1/2 years. We have met the most amazing, strong, kind and patient families and teachers. We never imagined how much a school would impact our family and lives. Bryson has grown and matured at an amazing rate and is now ready to mainstream in the fall. Every year he is tested on his speech and language skills. We just received the results from this year and he is at 95-98% compared to "normal" 4 year olds. Don't forget that he just turned 4 a few days ago! We are so proud of him and everything he has accomplished but are sad to see our friends and "family" go. We are forever a part of the Desert Voices family.
With that being said, and sorry for any tears that were shed, believe me, I have shed plenty, it's amazing to see Bryson next to another 3-4 year old "normal" child. We take for granted how well he speaks and the language he can properly use. Today he came with me to work out and there was another little boy there who was 3. I asked the little boy what his name was and for the life of me, I could not understand him. I felt terrible and ended up calling him "Buddy". It just goes to show us how far Bryson has come and how amazing he is

And little snowball with her doll, Katie.
And little man looking all grown up at the dentist
They are the best

Day off duties
The kids told me they cleaned the playroom. I guess I define "clean" a little differently than they do. Wish me luck as I tackle this beast today
