Creating castles

Sophie had a castle project and I must say, 4th grade projects are so much more fun than my homework. This is our version of Cawdor Castle!

Everyday on my way to work, I pass this building that has some really cool paintings on it

I have always thought that it would make a great backdrop for some "skater" pictures

It just so happens that Bryson received a skateboard for Christmas

and happens to have some "skater" clothes

Bryson had the day off of school today so we headed down to take some pictures.

I'm not sure exactly what this building is but I think it's a mortuary

You can see that he wasn't too thrilled at first, but then he started having fun

Super Bowl Sunday

The big day has arrived! Super bowl Sunday! Too bad we aren't sports fans and honestly, I have no idea who is even playing. I don't even know what time the big game starts. Instead, I'm at work where we celebrate everything even if it isn't anything...2 weeks ago we held a big birthday party for no one. It was just an excuse to eat junk and play games. Since today is actually something people celebrate, we like to do it up. I even wore my football jersey. I had to dig it out of Snowballs pajama drawer (she likes to wear it to bed) First thing after report we started cooking...on the menu today are nachos, jalapeño poppers, veggies, salsa and mini cheese cakes. With a Hispanic nursing assistant, the jalapeño poppers, refrained beans and salsa all need to be homemade. I really can't complain. She's an amazing cook!
