This past weekend we decided to go visit our awesome friends who live in Vegas
We have known these guys since before marriage and kids. They are some of our best friends to hang out with. We may not see each other often but when we do, it's like no time has passed at all. Conversations pick right back up.
They have the cutest little, I mean, big boy there ever was. He's 8, just like Sophie
The two of them are best buds when they are together. We wouldn't mind if he was our son-in-law someday
We did a whole lot of relaxing in the pool
One of the puppies even worked on his exercise in the pool!
I think we spent 8 hours in the pool!
Our friend, Rob is a fire fighter in Vegas and took us to his station for a visit
We took the firefighters some cookies
Checked out the ambulance
The uniforms
and of course the trucks!
Bryson was in heaven!
They put on the headphones
and sat in all the seats
all Bryson talks about is getting bigger and driving the fire trucks...when he sat at the wheel, he was speechless!
Rob showed him the button for the lights and he was able to switch them on and off
It was hard to get him out of the truck
We got a tour of the whole truck...every door, nozzle and hose!
Then it was time to try on the uniform!
The helmet was really heavy!
Our friends, Rob and Darci with their son DJ
a few more years and the jacket will fit!
Needless to say, Bryson was excited
We were able to check out the jaws of life! It's really heavy!
Bryson and DJ
After the tour, we needed a drink...just like the real firefighters!
We need a picture of all the kiddos
We even saw a police car!
Out front at the station sign
and a hat for the road!
After 2 hours at the station and checking out the dorms, kitchen and weight room, Bryson asked where the fire pole was...too bad it was a one story fire house
Then it was time to head back to the house and enjoy s'mores!
