Husbands

I have an amazing husband. He always puts the kids and I first. He doesn't complain...
except when he's sick

and notice these beautiful flowers?

He planted these for me while I was gone in Texas. I came home to a clean house and freshly planted flowers.

Aren't they nice?

I also got a tree! I love trees..especially ones with big leaves and lots of shade

While this one is still a baby, it will eventually grow and be a nice, strong, shady tree!

I'm so excited!

While I wait for my tree to grow, I can enjoy the sound of water splashing away

This is my view from my chair! Ahhh, so relaxing

Kyle bought some ladybugs to help ward off any unwanted bugs from the flowers.
He also took this picture

Organizing

Isn't that lovely? This is the girls room.

I couldn't stand it any longer. I feel like I organize their room every week. I even make it easy for them to clean up. Everything has it's place. It should be easy.

These pictures show you how much stuff I pulled out of their closet. These are things that were shoved under their shelves and in corners and bags. They said their room was cleaned up this morning.

I have been giving them the chance to clean and organize on their own. I try to teach them how to properly organize and I demonstrate good organizational skills.

At least I thought I was.

Turns out, both girls like to shove everything into a corner so their room "looks" clean.

After this last week and a half of them "cleaning" their room on their own, I finally broke down and did it myself.

This is what it looks like after I clean it up. Everything in it's place, no bags or clothes under the dresser or in corners. You can actually see in the closet.

Ahh, now I can relax knowing their room is clean!

Around town

Kyle has told me, more than once, that bad drivers find me like a magnet

I think of myself as a good driver. I stay within 10 mph of the posted speed limit, I don't get too close to the car in front of me, I don't text and drive...

but for some reason, I always get the mean person near me

For example, yesterday, while taking the girls to school, I was driving in the left lane and was changing into the right lane (with the proper blinker on) when a truck decided to turn into the right lane from out of his neighborhood.

I didn't honk or show a middle finger...I just simply went back into the left lane until I passed him and then moved into the right lane.

By the time I reached the stop light (about a half mile ahead), I was in the left lane and he was in the right lane. He pulled right up next to me and glared into my window.

We had a bit of a staring contest going on and he finally broke it with rolling his eyes and shaking his head.

Now, was that really necessary?

I think not!

I'll give you one more example that happened recently..

I was driving to Pine, AZ with the kids. Once you get out of Payson, the highway turns into a two-lane highway. There was a slow car, a truck and then us.

When the road opened to a passing lane, the truck passed the car and I passed both the truck and car.

Just as the passing lane ended, the truck passed me. I didn't honk or give a middle finger but just kept driving...really, I did.

(This is what the truck looked like)

(I think this is what the man looked liked except he was wearing a hat)

For some reason, this truck's driver was angry. I was not riding his bumper or anything and as we arrived in Pine, the speed limit went down to 35 mph.

The truck went 25 and then suddenly stopped! Yes, just stopped in the middle of the road.

I stopped too so I wouldn't hit him. He rolled his window down and started shouting something at me and shaking his hands. I didn't open my window or anything in fear he would get out and do something to me.

Luckily he got over himself and started driving again.

Thank goodness!

I still don't understand. What is it about me and a minivan that makes people so angry?

Does anyone else ever have this happen to them?

New hairdoos

Last night two of my littles came with me to get haircuts from our favorite salon gal...Candy

I think Bryson was confused about the whole, Ms. Candy thing. He wanted candy to eat
They both sat so nicely and came home with some great haircuts!

Bryson picked out green hair gel for his spikes!

He said he was cool like Spiderman!

Kaiden accidentally got gum in her hair while waiting

We had no choice but to cut the gum out and make rest of it even

It is a little shorter than we wanted, but she's such a doll!

She loves her new haircut and said her head feels much lighter!

When they are 2...

They are cute for a reason

because after looking so cute and sweet, they come running down the stairs telling you that they peed in your bedroom and pooped in theirs. He also didn't forget to mention that he woke up the baby sleeping in his room when he went in to poop.

Thanks Bryson!

btw...He has been potty trained for almost a year now!

Air Time

Our baby girl is 6 and she had a well deserved birthday party to show for it. She invited friends from school as well as friends from the daycare. We all met up at Air Time and bounced away the afternoon. Everyone had a great time...including the parents!

Skating

The girls received ice skating lessons for Christmas.

They love it! Kaiden has already said she wants to continue after the initial lessons.

I strongly encourage the kids to be involved in at least one activity.

The only problem to this whole ice skating lesson thing is....the parking!

Its insane! We drove around for 10 minutes looking for a place to park. I dont know if I can handle that every Saturday with only a few hours of sleep. I will really have to think about that.

At least the girls are enjoying themselves now...

Prayers

I have a big interview coming up. We have some great friends who offer excellent advice on interviews. I spoke with one of them last night. She suggested, amongst a long list of other things, to read this..

So far so good. Not sure if I will get all 345 pages read by Sunday night but I will try. Anything for this interview to go well and for me to get a job offer.

Speaking of....

I need as much help as I can. I believe in God so I have been praying... A LOT!

I know you many not believe in God, but if you believe in any sort of higher power, could you please pray to them for me?

Even if it's to this girl...

Or this one...

What ever you can do would be great!

Thanks!!!

A Tiny Daisy

I am a daisy girl scout leader for my daughters troop. I was the leader for my older daughters daisy troop a few years ago so I know what to expect...weekly meetings, snack schedule and crafts! That's the girls' favorite...craft time. I always get asked the question, "what are we making today?"

See, its really not a bad question for a normal troop leader who works one job and has time during the week to plan these crafts and get the needed supplies. I, on the other hand, don't usually have time to gather the necessary items and I usually think of something an hour before our meeting.

Last week I found a super cute girl scout pony bead craft. After looking at the instructions and finding my stash of pony beads, i figured it would be perfect for a bunch of kindergardeners and first graders to make.

We started the project only to discover that I was the one doing all the work. Luckily, the awesome seniors in our troop came to my rescue to assist with the project. Turns out that no one finished in time and we would continue the project this week.

I brought Kaiden's home to figure out the correct way to make it. After an hour, i finally got it..

What do you think?
Kind of cute, huh?

The Beginning

I actually did it. I started a blog. I never cared much for blogs but I'm kind of tired of Facebook and wanted something new. There isn't going to be a theme of any sort on here and if you don't like what I have, don't read it!

I will start by introducing you to 3 of my favorite people

These are my 3 loves and I love them all just the same,

Sophie (8), Bryson (2), Kaiden (5)

but today is about one of them in particular.

Here she is...number 2 in line...

we like to call her Snowball...

It's her birthday! Number 6 to be exact!

Happy Birthday Snowball!
